Winston reading age

Winston read aloud from start to finish this

the reading level is 2.5.

I looked in to this and this relates to the grade in an american school.

so for this one book he can read at the level of a 7.5year old

Winston reading and maths

Winston read from start to finish out loud "512 Ants from Sullivan Street"  about 3 days ago.

Today at the table he way playing with multiplication blocks going through every one and checking the answer and the sum.

And he learnt to build a tower carefully with wooden blocks - Thanks to Mary.

We have Mary, Gronja and Osheen staying with us through airBnB this month. Couldn't wish for better guests.

Winston learnt to ride his bike today

Caroline bought a stick to attach to Winston's bike  so we could take off the stabilisers,  but it didn't fit so I took him to the play park without stabilisers. For the first two or three times I held him from behind under the arms. After 3 goes,  he went a few meters on his own. Then he went a few more and crashed and hurt his keg a bit, but he was straight back on to have another go. A few more first and he could stop safely. A few more goes and he could start without help if it was slightly downhill .  On the way back, he rode the last 100meters completely on his own, including going over a speed bump and turning in to the gravel drive and stopping safely. Amazing to see learning at high speed like that.

Recent news

Today Winston and Henry went to hindAS montessori from 8:30 to 1:30.

Yesterday I went to have a chat with Anna-karin about Henry. He is getting along fine.  She said he likes building stuff, he likes watching the older children,  he stores food in his cheeks when they eat,  he is not very interested in drawing,  he is reasonable,  he likes the songs and tries to do the actions or watched the older kids.

Today after Davis,  I took them to oppnaforskolan,  I stayed for about 10 minutes  then Caroline came and I went home.  After I went to meet them and Caroline tried to go home,  but Henry got upset,  so she took him with her.  I pushed Winston in the pram while running the other way.  When we got back,  we couldn't persuade Henry to go to tempo.  In the end Winston played angry birds in the office and I pushed Henry on the garden swing a few hundred times.  He thought it was really funny to crash in to me and when I said ow,  he said sorry,  or sorry didn't mean it.

Then Winston and me played a little bit of what a performance.,  good counting and reading practice.  We have started showing the word carfax to Henry again.
